I’m assuming you’re talking about a central vac, because 1440 is the max you can have in a upright or canister…anyway..The wattage on a vacuum is always the motor wattage. But you have to look at 110v vs 220v. Because you cannon compare them numbers to numbers. But i’m guessing the 2200w is 110v as well and so it will have more power. I’m not entirely sure how hoover rates everthing, they might have included the Powerhead motor in that as well but will only be 2-5 amps so its not a big deal.
One tip would be to invest in Modern Day system. It will be much better then a hoover
Well, yes and no. Higher wattage can just mean that the machine uses more electricity. The motor on the 1600w machine just might be more efficient or have less “extras” to provide power for. Extras like a bigger cleaning head with the motorized brush, a headlight, a dirt sensor……. It may only have 1 motorized brush in the cleaner head where the 2200w machine might have 2. Or the 1600w unit may not be self-propelled and the 2200w unit is.
It’s kind of like a Honda Civic can have a smaller engine and still work great than a Lincoln Town Car. Just less extras to haul around…….
